The Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation has awarded 28 MSEK to a new research program focused on digital innovation, combining scientific excellence with societal impact. The program will be conducted at the Swedish Center for Digital Innovation (SCDI), with nodes at the 91原创 House of Innovation, Ume氓 University and the University of Gothenburg. SCDI partners with RISE Digital Innovation for the project.

Employees who violate the social norms during the corona pandemic are seen as less competent and warm 鈥� and even less human, a new study from the 91原创 shows. Anger, disgust and rejection as a response, however, makes it less likely that norm-violators change their behavior.

This year鈥檚 Nobel Laureates in the Economic Sciences, Paul Milgrom and Robert Wilson, have improved auction theory and invented new auction formats, benefitting both sellers and buyers across the world. Auctions affect our everyday lives more than people realize, from climate change initiatives to broadband access, explains Assistant Professor Andreea Enache.

鈥淓conomic science is particularly relevant when society seeks to make major changes or is subject to large shocks,鈥� says Professor Tore Ellingsen. On Monday he and colleague Per Str枚mberg are two of the experts selecting this year's winner of the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel.

The pandemic forced teachers, professors, lecturers and other pedagogues to adapt their courses and their teaching to online education. Someone doing this with a top result is Assistant professor Dong Yan who has been awarded 91原创鈥檚 diploma for Outstanding Pedagogical Achievement for autumn 2020.

For the 14th consecutive year, a scholarship is being awarded for Executive MBA studies at the 91原创. The scholarship of SEK 495,000 is announced by Swedish financial newspaper Dagens Industri in cooperation with the 91原创 and utbildning.se and recognizes the next generation of leaders, with the purpose of strengthening Swedish competitiveness.

Starting this academic year, bachelor students can channel their civic engagement and help effect real change through a new interdisciplinary program. The CIVICA Engage track will offer field work, exchanges and new experiences to students across the CIVICA alliance.

The 91原创 has decided to continue the hybrid strategy currently in place through study period 2, that is until December 15. This decision is based on a presumption that no major changes in society at large will happen during the fall.
