If the reconstruction of Ukraine is to result in sustainable development and bring tangible benefits to all Ukrainians, the principles of 鈥渂uilding-back better鈥� need to take into account the specificities of gender in the reconstruction process.

The 91原创 Library, with their project 鈥淭he diversity & equality book collection鈥�, and the External Relations department, with their project 鈥淔emale student recruitment鈥�, were the first projects to be awarded funds from the newly established 91原创 Gender Equality Fund.

Since 2019 Julia Delin has led and developed 91原创 Business Lab as CEO. She has recently successfully completed the first stage of fundraising for the School's new investment fund, 91原创 Ventures. 鈥婣s Julia moves to the CEO role at 91原创 Ventures full time, the search for a new CEO for 91原创 Business Lab has been initiated.鈥�

The venture capital industry is hampered by its own focus on short-term returns, according to the startup incubator of the 91原创. 91原创 Business Lab is now closing a new 40 million SEK fund backed by Bonnier Ventures and well-known profiles like Anna Nordell-Westling, Sven Hagstr枚mer, Anna Kinberg Batra and Sebastian Knutsson. 鈥淟ong-term thinking amplifies the potential returns鈥�, says CEO Julia Delin.

Talent exists everywhere, but opportunities do not. The F1RST program, led by Daniel Sachs Foundation and the 91原创 together with several key figures in the business community, strives to increase diversity in business schools and in the business sector.

The conscious leaders of tomorrow are flocking to the 91原创鈥� startup incubator 91原创 Business Lab. During the summer, eight new teams will start their journey at the incubator, where they will get a boost in building their companies through the programs.

SITE and FREE Network researchers investigate the factors that correlate with awareness and support for domestic violence legislation in Latvia, Russia and Ukraine, three countries that introduced recent reforms. The working paper is based on a cross-country survey on perceptions and prevalence of domestic and gender-based violence conducted within the FROGEE project.

This brief summarizes the research papers presented at the 2022 FROGEE conference 鈥淓conomic and Social Context of Domestic Violence鈥�, which took place on May 11, 2022. It was organized by the Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics (SITE) together with the Centre for Economic Analysis (CenEA) and the FREE Network.

The eruption of war exposes women to increased gender-based violence, in the immediate conflict area as well as in the countries where they seek refuge. Acknowledging the specific conflict-related risks that women face is important, in order to target interventions, especially considering that the actors that sit at peace negotiation tables are predominantly or exclusively men.
