Fredrik Sixtensson continues to shed new light on ancient political thought with two recent publications exploring themes of governance and civic rights in classical Athens.
Two new publications by Fredrik Sixtensson: one in Classical Quarterly, which examines why Plato uses weaving as a model for statecraft in the Statesman; the other in Eranos, offering a new explanation for why Athenian slaves and resident foreigners are said to have ‘equality of speech’ (颈蝉脓驳辞谤颈补), a right generally considered reserved for citizens.
