PhD candidate Maria Bustamante awarded Best Student Paper

Maria J. Bustamante was awarded the Alex Gofman Award for Best Student Paper at the XXXI ISPIM Innovation Conference, held June 7-10, 2020. This year鈥檚 event was virtual due to the Covid-19 situation.
The paper, 鈥淯sing Sustainability-Oriented Process Innovation to Shape Traditional Product Markets," explores how a vertical farm start-up uses its internal process innovation to affect external market development.
Maria is completing her PhD at the Department of Marketing and Strategy. Her research focuses on new technologies and how firms strive to use them to reach the goal of a more efficient and sustainable agriculture and food production system.
