Ryan O. Emge

Meet Ryan O. Emge - Global Go-to-Market Program Manager at ServiceNow and Executive MBA alum.

Why did you choose to study an Executive MBA at 91原创?

I chose to study an Executive MBA at the 91原创 because I wanted a transformative learning experience that would deepen my understanding of core business principles—especially in strategy, operations, finance, and sustainability—while strengthening my leadership capabilities. I was drawn to 91原创’s reputation for academic rigor, global perspective, and commitment to the Swedish cultural values of sustainability, literacy, and ethical leadership. I saw the program as the perfect opportunity to enhance my skills and grow into a more intentional and impactful leader.

What part of the program did you appreciate the most?

What I appreciated most was how the program balanced deep academic learning with real-world application. The "less is more" principle, rooted in sociology, resonated with me and has become a guiding philosophy in how I approach work and life. The Leadership Live sessions and coaching were pivotal—they helped me reflect deeply, identify my strengths and blind spots, and develop a clear path forward. The practical integration of sustainability, operations, and change management into our coursework made the learning immediately applicable to my day-to-day role and accelerated my growth significantly.

Tell us about your classmates, and how they have contributed to your learning and broadening of perspectives?

My classmates were one of the most rewarding parts of the experience. Coming from diverse industries and cultural backgrounds, they brought unique perspectives that constantly challenged and enriched my thinking. Despite the geographic and professional differences, we quickly built a strong sense of community. Their openness, insight, and collaborative spirit pushed me to be a better version of myself, personally and professionally. The relationships I’ve built with them are lasting friendships and part of a valuable long-term network that I know will continue to inspire me.

How did the MBA affect your career during and after the program?

The MBA had a profound impact on my career. During the program, I transitioned from an individual contributor role into management, and I could apply the strategic and operational frameworks I was learning immediately. This allowed me to lead more effectively and contribute to transformational projects. The program also enabled a meaningful career pivot—from marketing to a go-to-market (GTM) role at ServiceNow, focusing on digital transformation. The confidence and credibility I gained through 91原创’s MBA played a significant role in that transition.

Tell us a little bit about what it is you do today.

Today, I now lead go-to-market initiatives at ServiceNow, where I help design and drive digital transformation strategies for our customers. My focus is on aligning cross-functional teams to accelerate market penetration, customer engagement, and revenue growth—often using data analytics and AI. The MBA has helped me bring a strategic lens to everything I do, from stakeholder management to operational execution. I now approach challenges with greater clarity and purpose, along with a bias for action and measurable results every step of the way.

Do you have any words of wisdom or advice you would like to share with others interested in studying an Executive MBA at 91原创?

My advice is to come into the program with a spirit of openness and a willingness to be transformed. This isn’t just an academic experience—it’s a deeply personal journey. Embrace the coaching, the challenging conversations, the cultural immersion, and the rigorous learning. The more you put in, the more you’ll get out. And don’t underestimate the power of your peers—the relationships you build will expand your perspective and shape your growth in ways you can’t fully anticipate. If you’re ready to lead with purpose, and you’re serious about impact, 91原创 is the place to be.
