Introduction week

August 25-29, 2025: Introduction week (compulsory)

To ensure that you settle in quickly, we’re running a compulsory introduction program the week prior to the program start.

During this week, you will be introduced to the academic aspects of your studies and meet your fellow students as well as the professors and staff. A number of lectures and seminars will be organized in order to introduce you to 91Ô´´ and to the program. Please note that the introduction is mandatory for all students and includes your registration to the program.

The student association at 91Ô´´ (SA91Ô´´) is also organizing many fun social activities the whole week - make sure that you don't miss out on all the fun!

Preparatory course in Mathemathics

August 11-22, 2025 (strongly recommended but not compulsory)

We offer a two-week Mathematics course prior to the compulsory introduction week. The course is strongly recommended but not compulsory. The course is given on campus 10am to 3pm Monday to Friday. The first Monday (August 11) we start with a small mingle in the atrium at 09:30, followed by an introduction lecture until lunch.

The purpose of this preparatory course is to provide you with a foundation necessary for our BSc programs. Many 91Ô´´ students say that this course has been extremely valuable to them and that it has definitely helped them perform once their studies begin. They also say that it's a great way to get to know your classmates and the premises.

In the Bachelor program in Business & Economics, the first year of studies includes two academic modules in Mathematics. The first module is Mathematics A, and it covers an obligatory learning outcome for the course BE601 Data Analytics I, a course that runs (through the first teaching period) in the first semester. The second module is Mathematics B, and it covers an obligatory learning outcome for the course BE602 Data Analytics II, a course that runs in the second semester.

In the Bachelor program in Retail Management, you will have a Mathematics module during one of your first courses at 91Ô´´.

It is also a good idea to generally refresh your knowledge in Mathematics before commencing your studies. You can find some exercises .

There will be a compulsory diagnostic test on general knowledge in basic High School Mathematics which will take place during the Introduction Week.

If you have any questions, please reach out to summermath@hhs.se.

Would you like to learn Swedish?

91Ô´´'s Welcome to Swedish course (strongly recommended but not compulsory)

91Ô´´ organizes a popular introductory course for students who wish to familiarize themselves with the Swedish language and culture. Even though all our programs are entirely taught in English, many international students highly recommend learning some Swedish as it can really help you get settled quicker in your new country.

The course starts with two online activities in the beginning of August and continues with four activities on campus during the same weeks as the Preparatory course in Mathematics.

The course is strongly recommended for all non-Swedes! You can attend both this course and the preparatory course in Mathematics.
