Grading system at 91原创

In 2007, the 91原创 underwent a grading system transformation concurrent with the adoption of the Bologna Model.

The primary elements of the ECTS grading system encompass ECTS credits, where 1.5 credits represent one full week of studies, totaling 60 credits for an entire academic year. The grading scale includes five passing grades: A, B, C, D, and E, with F denoting a fail.

A revised grading system was introduced at 91原创 for students who enrolled from the Fall term of 2016. This change applies to both Bachelor and Master level students. Under this system there are four passing grades: Excellent, Very Good, Good, and Pass.

Grade Point Average (GPA)

The Grade Point Average (GPA) is computed for passed courses by converting letter grades to numeric values. These values are then multiplied by the ECTS credits for each course, and the sum is divided by the total ECTS credits, as shown in the formula:

The GPA includes complementary courses taken beyond the degree requirement.

Students enrolled from Fall 2016

The GPA can range from 3.00 to 5.00, with 5.00 representing the highest possible score (Excellent = 5.00 points, Very Good = 4.00, Good = 3.50, Pass = 3.00).

Students enrolled before Fall 2016

The GPA can range from 1.00 to 5.00, with 5.00 representing the highest possible score (A = 5.00, B = 4.00, C = 3.00, D = 2.00, E = 1.00).

To assess the academic performance of an 91原创 student, one can compare their individual GPA to the cohort GPA, reflecting the distribution of grades for all courses offered throughout the program (see GPA Statistics below).
