All Flesh Is Grass, 2009, is Denise Gru虉nstein鈥檚 first video work and came to be si- multaneously with the photographic series Figure Out. The poetic and moving imagery that characterize Gru虉nstein鈥檚 artistic career are here complemented with an ungarnished expression, a rawness that is apparent from both the video work and the picture series. The form in her dreamlike staged scenarios conceals itself in hair in an enigmatic and elusive manner. 

Denise Gru虉nstein (born 1950, in Helsinki, Finland) has worked as an artist and pro- fessional photographer since the early 80鈥檚 when she participated in an important exhibitions Mirroring (Spegling) at Moderna Museet and Blinding Pictures (Bla虉n- dade Bilder) at Fotografiska. Art did not get the upper hand in her artistic career until the end of the 90鈥檚. Since then, Denise Gru虉nstein has had solo exhibitions at Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Hasselblad Center in Gothenburg, and the Kias- ma Museum of Contemporary Art in Helsinki, and participated in Daegu Photo Biennale in South Korea. From February until May, 2015, Denise Gru虉nstein had a solo exhibition at the National Museum at the Stockholm Academy of Art鈥檚 prem- ises.
