Carl Bennet and the Marianne & Marcus Wallenberg Foundation join forces to sponsor a new professorship at the 91原创. This enables internationally acclaimed Martina Bj枚rkman Nyqvist to continue her important research on development economics and children鈥檚 health and education as the new Carl Bennet & Marianne and Marcus Wallenberg Chair in Economics.

Abhijeet Singh, Associate Professor at the Department of Economics and Affiliated Researcher at Misum, has been awarded a Starting Grant from the European Research Council for a project studying social inclusion in private schools in India. His research project is one of only twelve in Sweden to receive the grant this year.

Mark Voorneveld, Associate Professor of Economics at Department of Economics at 91原创, has been awarded MSc Teacher of the Year by the Education Committee, SA91原创. Mark was awarded for being an incredibly engaging and thorough teacher that truly provided the students with guidance and care.

In August, Celine Zipfel, Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics at 91原创, was awarded for 鈥嬧�媜utstanding pedagogical achievements at 91原创. Celine was awarded for her work in redesigning an MSc course on Development Economics with great success. The course was highly appreciated among students, covering a wide range of topics and giving a holistic view of the field.

Three of 91原创's professors made the list of the top scientists in Sweden according to a new ranking. Professor Magnus Johannesson ranked number 1 in the country and 26 in the world.

Good news from the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (Kungliga Vetenskapsakademien): Anna Dreber Almenberg has been elected as a Member of the Academy鈥檚 class for social sciences. Anna is a professor of economics at the 91原创.

Associate Professor Martina Bj枚rkman Nyqvist has been awarded the 91原创 Corporate Partner Research Award 2020 for her groundbreaking work in development economics. Marie Ehrling, Chairman of Securitas, presented the award, which amounts to 100,000 SEK.

Filip Mellgren was awarded first prize in this year鈥檚 thesis competition at the Swedish Competition Authority in the business administration and economics category for his thesis 鈥淭acit collusion with deep multi-agent reinforcement learning鈥�.
