PRME at 91原创

At 91原创, the core principles in the PRME framework can be found across the school. This can be read in the Sharing Information on Progress (SIP) reports or through the initiatives and activities in Education, Research, Campus and Outreach.

91原创 has been a signatory of PRME since 2013. The initiative is administered through Misum, but it is the entire school that works towards the purpose of being a signatory.

Education

91原创 has formulated its overarching educational aims through the acronym FREE. Some examples of 91原创's activities that align with the PRME principles can be found below:

Global Challenges

91原创's Global Challenges courses are aimed at broadly educating students about urgent and large-scale problems of modern times, as climate change, accelerating environmental damages, or the risks related to global health, inequality or autonomous intelligence.

Sustainability and Responsible Management Education at 91原创

Here at 91原创, we acknowledge the profound importance of sustainability. Misum, PRME and the group ‘Sustainable 91原创’ have initiated a series of pragmatic internal films to support the endeavor of making sustainability explicit in 91原创 course content. These videos are a tool for 91原创 staff and can be accessed on the internal portal  Alongside the video series, we have also developed a module focused on training faculty in responsible business education, which can be found

Research

91原创 is home to some 30 research centers. Some are embedded in one department, others link two or more departments, and others operate autonomously. Many of these units conduct research that addresses various SDG topics, and some are exclusively dedicated to such research.

Sustainable Finance and Accounting

With finance and accounting being a key component of the transition to a sustainable global economy, there are a number of 91原创 researchers exploring this topic to reveal the ways we can design and implement accounting infrastructures to create fair and just markets. Some examples of their work can be found at some of the following centers:

Sustainable Business Development and Practice

Sustainable business practices and development is informed by research carried out on entrepreneurship, innovation and management. There are a number of centers and departments that focus on these areas, looking a range from inclusive hiring practices, resilience and innovation within family businesses, and design thinking as a means of developing new solutions to age old problems. Student contributions to sustainability and inclusion

There are two major student groups dedicated explicitly to questions of sustainability at 91原创.

One is the SA91原创 Sustainability Group (SSG), a multifaceted group with a broad range of responsibilities, such as:

  • organizing various events and activities for students to raise awareness about sustainability.
  • promoting more sustainable operations within the student association, and,
  • representing students interests in sustainability internally and externally.
  • Some initiatives include Effective Altruism, the Sustainable Finance Club, and Focus CSR.

Student groups independent from SA91原创 also promote sustainability at 91原创. The 91原创 Students for Climate Action (SSCA) is one such group. SSCA is a student-led initiative that connects and engages students, alumni, and faculty members at 91原创 to increase the focus on environmental and climate-related issues within academia and to accelerate the shift toward a sustainable economy.

Outreach

Outreach at 91原创 through the media and debate articles, academic events, research seminars, or popularized publications and presentations for general audiences is how the school gives back to society and the business community.

Sweden through the Crisis
