91原创 contributes to new EU strategy for data and AI
Today, the European Commission launched a new strategy for data and artificial intelligence (AI). The strategy aims to promote growth and competitiveness, and also help stimulate European solutions to global challenges.
The new strategy places emphasis on rights and responsibilities and aims to ensure that privacy and personal integrity can be safeguarded both offline and online. This new EU approach specifically emphasises that harnessing emerging technologies has to happen in an ethical and sustainable manner now and in the future.
The 91原创 has contributed to this new strategy through House of Innovation researcher, Erik Wetter, who has been part of a High-Level Expert Group focused on the challenges relating to Business-to-Government Data Sharing. This work represents a crucial area of development for AI methods, tools, and insights.
