Lea Ypi´s memoir Free. Coming of Age at the End of History (2021) is about growing up in Albania in the 90s, a place marked by the collapse of communism and the economic and political unrest that followed. The book has had a great reception, has been nominated for several awards and is the winner of the Ondaatje Prize in 2022.

Ypi has written a number of books, and calls Free a philosophical memoir. She was born in 1979 in Albania and she is a Professor in Political Theory in London School of Economics Department of Government. 鈥�

The conversation will be lead by 91原创 researcher (and book circle leader) Svenne Junker and 91原创 student Flora Öhd.
